Planting the seeds for success

Congratulations to our Year 8s who sat their Wellington Scholarships assessments recently. We are very proud of the results: An Art Scholarship, a Music scholarship, Sports scholarships and a Drama Scholarship. All pupils who sat the Wellington entrance exam were successful and congratulations to all.

We planted a tree last week for the Woodland Trust’s #everytreecounts #bigclimatechangefightback . The beautiful Rowan Tree is on the corner of the path with a plaque on the way. Thank you to our Eco Warriors for their wonderful assembly.

Our U13 and U12 Rugby teams have done brilliantly this week. With our players coming third overall at the Bryanston Rugby 7s, the matches were well fought with an incredible victory over Millfield as one of their triumphs! This week also saw the FIRST EVER St Peter’s girls’ rugby match. Our U13 and U12 girls played against Mount Kelly and were tremendous. It has been a long term ambition of mine to bring girls’ rugby to St Peter’s and indeed to the prep school world, becoming leaders in this field with all of our girls having the opportunity to learn the game this term. It is something I am hugely proud of. I’d like to thank Mrs. White and Mrs. Ball in particular for helping me to realise this vision. The girls have absolutely loved it. The rugby makes them feel powerful and strong, and their levels of outstanding teamwork shown on the field make us aware of the benefits of the game. Well done all.
