Outdoor Learning

Facilities we have to offer

As well as a Forest School trained HLTA, St Peter’s has a pond and forest school area where the younger children benefit from weekly Forest School and the older children take part in survival training days in the school’s woodland and grounds. All pupils have a yearly trip to the beach but Reception pupils attend Beach School weekly at Exmouth Beach. The pupils from Year 3 upwards have the opportunity to take part in weekly activities such as horse riding, golf, sailing, wakeboarding, running club etc.

In the summer term, it is not unusual to see, for example, a drama or music lesson taking place on one of our many lawns as the children and staff alike enjoy the space, sunny weather and the view over the Estuary from their outside classroom
