The children gain a thorough knowledge and understanding of countries and cultures. We seek to enhance the children’s learning experience outside the classroom with many school trips, visits and tours being linked to our geography projects and topics.

As an example, Year 4 has been honing their Curiosity, Finding and Presenting skills through their Humanities work on the Indian village of Chembakolli. Selecting an element of village life to study, the children have worked in pairs to get research aspects such as growing food, going to school, transport and social activities within the historical Adivasi community in this area of Southern India. They demonstrated teamwork, collaboration and mutual support whilst working on this topic.
