Teaching & Learning: Individualism

During the INSET days, staff took some time to reflect on the fact that our TEACH(ing) is entirely reflective of how the pupils LEARN.
See if you can see them both in this picture:

We spoke in depth about how individualism at St Peter’s is embraced and celebrated. We know we MUST ask the children to know and use their own unique set of skills and talents…and find ways around the areas of study we find more challenging.

We used the below comic picture to illustrate how our own home-grown Baccalaureate curriculum demands far more of the children than simply to pass the same tests:

With the theory examined; the most difficult part lies ahead of us – “how do we see this in action in our classrooms?”
Each week I will be sharing with you some of our best Teaching and Learning in this new section of the website and in the parents’ Celebration Letter.
