Autumn term 2023, Week 11

We have had a couple of very cold days at the end of this week but that has not deterred some extremely hard work (and hard Sport) going on!  Last Friday, we enjoyed a polished assembly where Year 4 wowed us with their work on the Romans and this week we have held a well-attended Little Hares toddler group, as well as the highly-anticipated ‘House Shout’.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to Nicola Miller for the wreath-making workshops and to our wonderful PTA volunteers for decorating the school so beautifully.  The children thought that the Christmas elves had been at work when they went into the dining room on Monday!  Martyn and Tim in our Operations team had a Herculean task erecting the fantastic outside Christmas tree and lights; a tradition started in Covid, which is certainly here to stay.

As I write, I can hear some fabulous singing from our choirs who are busy practising for the Carol Service next week.  Please make sure to read the arrangements for the last day of term and the Carol Service.  Next year, we promise to make things a little more streamlined!

Enjoy the weekend when I’m sure there will be lots of trees being decorated – have fun!
