As Autumn colours brighten our grounds, it has been a busy and uplifting start to October. Our rugby teams showed great spirit and determination in a series of hard-fought fixtures, with pupils on and off the pitch demonstrating courage, resilience and teamwork. Year 2 also shone in their assembly, sharing their work with real pride and delighting everyone with their wonderful singing; a reminder of the confidence and joy that grows each year at our school.
At this week’s PTA meeting, we enjoyed looking ahead to an exciting year, with a brand-new Quiz Night to look forward to in the Spring term. Parents also raised how much they value our school catering and asked for more information about what goes on behind the scenes. Diana and her team prepare every meal from scratch, drawing on fresh, seasonal produce from trusted local suppliers including Greendale Farm Shop and Darts Farm. Hidden vegetables, chocolate courgette cake, crisp crudités on the tables and a “try something new” ethos are all part of making healthy eating fun and accessible for the children.
Diana will continue to share menus for the week ahead, favourite recipes to try at home, and more details of our suppliers, whose high-quality Devon ingredients make such a difference to school life.
Have a lovely weekend!
