Welcome to the Autumn Term 2026
It has been a fantastic start to the new academic year. The children are looking incredibly smart, and I especially love seeing our new Reception pupils wearing their giant blazers with such pride.
Drop-off & Traffic Management Thank you for your patience in navigating the new access system implemented by Devon Highways. We fully share your frustration regarding these changes. We will review how the system is performing after its first full week and update you on any adjustments.
Trips & Off-Site Learning It has been wonderful to see the energy back in school, with pupils diving straight into exciting opportunities:
Year 8: Heading out to Dartmoor for their residential trip (postponed from last summer’s heatwave).
Year 6: Enjoying their theatre visit to Private Peaceful at the Exeter Northcott.
Year 7: Preparing for their upcoming residential trip to Cornwall next week.
We are so proud of how quickly all of our pupils, both returning and new, have settled into the routine after the long, hot summer break. Thank you for your continued support as we start another fantastic term together. Please read this information letter in detail as it will outline everything to come for the next few weeks. I am glad that so many of you are enjoying our posts on FAMLY which replace our social media feeds.
RHS School Gardening Award
I’m delighted to share that our gardening club has been awarded our Level 4 certificate, a gardening book, some seeds and a £100 gardening voucher. Thank you to Miss Hester, our Head of Grounds and Horticulture, for all her hard work with the Gardening Club and for applying for the award.
