We have had some glorious sunshine this week and some keen fundraising. Well done in particular to Oliver M who raised £119.25 to support the British Red Cross in Ukraine, where some of his family are from. ‘Wacky hair’ for Comic Relief was enjoyed by all today and the children thought about those less fortunate than themselves.
Thanks to those parents who have said they would love to help with our community gardening project. We have a good little team gathering for the
Summer Term. More information to follow.
Year 8s had an amazing abseiling and climbing day as part of their Leadership and team building activities. Dartmoor was incredible in the sunshine and some of
the boys even climbed ‘blindfolded’. Brave stuff.
It is my delight to announce the birth of Alfie Fox Parker, a little boy born to Mr and Mrs Parker on 17 March at 11:42. All the family are doing well. Please can I ask that we all respect their privacy at this special time. If there are any gifts or flowers for them, please can they be delivered to the main Reception. Thank you so much.
The Beach Clean last Saturday was an absolute triumph. Thank you so much to Miss Green for organising and for Mrs Ball for stepping into the breach when Miss Green was felled by Covid! We had about 40 families, dogs, parents, kids, siblings who all met us at Hangtime to pick up their litter pickers. We then joined together again for coffee in the Manor Gardens. Lots of plastic, fishing wire, and rubbish were collected; we did ourselves proud. More of these to come I think!
Congratulations to our U13 7’s Rugby champions triumphing over Wellington, Kings Hall and Mount Kelly to win the tournament last Friday.
Have a lovely weekend with your families. The Johnstons are off to Cornwall for some sunshine. Sea might be a bit cold for a dip though…
