Spring term 2026, week 1

This week has been one of mixed emotions; from the high of welcoming our children back for the spring term, to navigating Met Office weather warnings amidst Storm Goretti, and finally the sad news of Exeter Cathedral School closing its prep school in July 2026.

Thank you for your patience with the weather alerts this week.  Our priority is the safety of pupils and staff at all times and we appreciate your understanding. The children have settled back quickly into their learning and there is a real buzz across the site.

The weeks ahead are full of much-loved events and opportunities. We look forward to welcoming parents into school for parents’ evenings this term, as well as to the Year 1 and Year 2 poetry performances, which are always a highlight of the year. The House Pancake Races, World Book Day and Sport Relief are eagerly anticipated, alongside the Year 4 residential visit to Hooke Court and the Years 7 and 8 trip to Athens at the end of term.

Our sporting calendar is equally busy, with hockey, football and netball fixtures keenly anticipated. Our teams finished last term very strongly in both rugby and hockey, and we look forward to building on that success as the season progresses.

Wishing you a lovely weekend with your families
