We had a special visitor to our Friday afternoon assembly: Paul Martin, Education Officer for the Devon Wildlife Trust, our charity of the year. Mr Martin gave a lively talk about the work that the charity does to protect our local environment and habitats, with top tips on how best we can help at home. Our pupils asked lots of thoughtful questions about single use plastics and how they can help hedgehogs at home. Pupils have already started fundraising efforts, with Wren House organising a cake sale last week. Proceeds will go towards two projects: the greater horseshoe bat project and the River Otter beaver project.
After the assembly, our Eco Warriors met Mr Martin and posed for a photograph.
