New Nursery Premises Acquired
Devon Nurseries Limited has acquired Hall House, 15 Cathedral Close in Exeter for use as a new children’s day nursery called Eden Day Nursery. Devon Nurseries is part of the group of educational and childcare establishments that includes St Peter’s Preparatory School.
Hall House was previously Exeter Cathedral School’s pre-prep. It is a grade 2 listed building of significant historic merit, along with a more modern detached two-classroom building in the garden. Hall House is adjacent to the Cathedral and occupies a very generous site with a large garden in which the children will have bags of room to play. Devon Nurseries is very excited about opening a day nursery in such a central location and in such a beautiful building. Whilst there is much renovation work to be completed it is anticipated that the nursery will open in April 2027.
Eden Day Nursery will be the sixth nursery for Devon Nurseries, joining:

Once Eden Day Nursery is fully established the total daily capacity of the nurseries will increase to more than 410 children and be supported by some 160 staff. Eden Day Nursery itself will have a maximum capacity of 82 children. There will be open days in the new year to promote the new nursery.
