St Peter’s Preparatory School, Lympstone is seeking a Grounds and Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep, safety, and smooth running of our School site.
Working as part of the site team, you will carry out a wide range of general maintenance tasks including repairs, painting, carpentry, and equipment movement. You will also support grounds maintenance, assist with school events and parking duties, and help ensure all areas of the School are clean, safe, and well maintained.
This is a permanent, full-time position, for which the salary is £24,784.50 per annum (including paid holiday entitlement). The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 with a 60-minute unpaid break each day. The role also benefits from six weeks’ paid holiday plus a two-week Christmas closure.
The role requires proven general maintenance experience, a good understanding of health and safety, fire safety and COSHH regulations, and strong organisational skills. You will need to be a team player with a flexible, positive approach and the ability to manage a varied workload to completion. A full, clean UK driving licence is required, as is the ability to undertake physical work and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
