St Peter’s Preparatory School, Lympstone, is one of the most successful and forward-looking independent preparatory schools in the South West, awarded a ‘significant strength’ in our most recent ISI Inspection (May 2024), and we pride ourselves on outstanding learning support.
We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide support to teaching staff in the academic development and pastoral care of individual children or groups of children, including SEND pupils, from Nursery to Year 8. The role holder will be expected to teach whole classes in accordance with teacher-set plans as required.
We are looking for someone with a positive and proactive approach, with a love and enthusiasm towards the education of children. The successful applicant will be required to have a suitable Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, and experience of working as an HLTA with Primary-aged children.
The role is term-time only, working 7.5 or 7.75 hours per week:
The annual salary is paid in twelve equal monthly instalments and includes statutory paid holiday (to be taken during school holidays).
