St Peter’s Preparatory School, Lympstone, is one of the most successful and forward-looking independent preparatory schools in the South West, awarded a ‘significant strength’ in our most recent ISI Inspection (May 2024), and we pride ourselves on our learning support.
The School wishes to engage suitably qualified SpLD Specialist Peripatetic Teachers to work on an individual basis with pupils who have Specific Learning Difficulties associated with Dyslexia, and for additional Maths tuition for children with specific Maths difficulties. Specialist lessons are parent-funded at a pre-agreed rate of £21.50 for 30 minutes.
Post 1 requires relevant SpLD/Dyslexia qualification and prior experience of providing 1:1 support to KS1/2 children with Specific Learning Difficulties.
Post 2 requires Qualified Teacher Status or qualification in supporting children with specific Maths difficulties such as Dyscalculia.
We are seeking someone with a calm and patient manner, a flexible, positive and proactive approach and excellent written and verbal communication with both children and adults.
