St Peter’s Preparatory School, Lympstone, is one of the most successful and forward-looking independent preparatory schools in the South West, awarded Excellent in all categories in our ISI Inspection (March 2020), and we pride ourselves on outstanding learning support.  

We are seeking a Librarian/TA to manage our two library facilities, and provide support to teaching staff in the academic development and pastoral care of individual children or groups of children, including SEND pupils, from Nursery to Year 8.

We are looking for someone with a positive and proactive approach, with a love and enthusiasm towards the education of children.  The successful applicant will be required to have library experience, preferably in an educational setting, and a suitable Teaching Assistant qualification, or substantial relevant experience. 

The role is term-time only, working 20.5 hours per week:

  • Monday, 08:30-13:00 (4.5 hrs TA)
  • Tuesday, 08.30-12:00 (3.5 hrs TA) 12:00-14:00 (2 hrs Library)
  • Wednesday, 12:00-14:00 (2 Hours Library) 14:00-16:30 (2.5 hrs TA)
  • Thursday, 12:00-14:00 (2 hrs Library)
  • Friday, 12:00-16:00 (4 hrs Library)

The annual salary is £9,840 and will be paid in twelve equal monthly instalments.
