Lunchtime Catering Assistant

St Peter’s School, Lympstone, is seeking a part-time Lunchtime Catering Assistant to work 20 hours a week during term time only; Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays 11:00 to 15:00 and Wednesdays and Thursdays 12:30 to 16:30.

The position offers full school holidays and no evening work, with the advantage of term-time school hours and onsite parking.  The successful candidate will work as part of a small and friendly team on the beautiful site of St Peter’s Preparatory School in Lympstone.

The annual salary is £10,000 and will be paid in twelve equal monthly instalments. This is based on an hourly rate of £12.50 for 40 weeks, which includes statutory paid holiday entitlement. 

Candidates are required to work under the direction of the Hospitality and Catering Manager to undertake a range of food preparation and service duties within the School, as well as ensuring a smooth lunchtime service on the pass. 

Catering qualifications and/or relevant experience are desirable, but are not essential as relevant training can be provided for the right candidate. Applicants are required to have a good knowledge of both food hygiene and health and safety. This role involves certain physical tasks, such as lifting, carrying and standing for extended periods.
