Friday 11 March 2022
I am extremely proud of the Games department and the U13 girls who hosted our first ever Girls’ Football Festival on Wednesday afternoon. It was absolutely brilliant and the progress that those girls made was truly impressive in just one afternoon. We played Wellington and ECS and there was much joy, hard work, determination and excellent play by all. Well done.
Finally, I would like to put out a call to any interested parents or grandparents to help us set up our new St Peter’s community gardening club next term. We have raised beds going in, a Polytunnel on order as well as sheds and a water butt! We need experienced gardeners who can help us start our gardening club up from scratch. We would really welcome volunteers from our community to help get this initiative up and running as we will be starting from scratch. We will also be going for the RHS School Gardening Award scheme so please let us know by Friday 18 March if you have a passion for or experience with gardening and we will take it from there.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the Park Run (starting at 09:00) and/or the Beach Clean on Saturday morning (starting at 10:00); two big community events. Full details are in the Information Newsletter.
