It’s the start of another busy term here at St Peter’s. Our second week back finds us already in full swing; with our popular weekly Activities and first away games well underway.
Most importantly for our little ones, though, are the upcoming Nativity performances. In a St Peter’s first, we’ve postponed our Nativites until January, and will be hosting Covid-conscious performances for parents to attend later this week.
We need not have feared that the delay would have dampened our children’s spirits; there has been plenty of ‘donkey business’ backstage!
On the Marketing team’s side of things, we await with bated breath for our sneak preview during the school-wide dress rehearsals tomorrow. The children and staff have put in a truly awesome amount of effort into these performances; it promises to be a lively show.
Right around the corner we have our first school trip of 2022, with the Year 3s off on an adventure to ‘We the Curious’ in Bristol. This museum is a firm favourite amongst pupils and staff alike, with inspiring exhibitions on outer space, archaeology and the human body.
For our older pupils, this month is filled with important dates for entry into secondary school. As sad as we will be to see our Year 8s go, we do our utmost to prepare each individual for the upcoming admissions process. For parents, we are hosting an informative seminar with the Wellington School’s headmaster, Eugene du Toit, this Wednesday from 16:30 to 17:30. The coming weeks will also see scholarship and entrance assessment days for Senior Schools.
Keep an eye on this space. There’s plenty more to come!
