Earlier in the year, William and Josh became St Peter’s Preparatory School’s very first IAPS’ sailing National Champions at the Under 11 day at the 2012 Olympic sailing venue at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. Participating in the performance class , the boys were not only the only sailors to complete their first race, but continued in taking a further three first places.
To mark the boys’ achievement, former St Peter’s pupil and Olympian Ben Rhodes was very kind in joining us for a presentation. Both Ben and the boys took questions from other pupils in their year group and the visit culminated in a round of applause and a word of advice from Mrs Ball to get the boys’ autographs before they become famous!
