Year 3 pupils are off on their residential, as I write, and looking forward to river scrambling and tree climbing. The cottage where they stay is in a remote part of Dartmoor, by a beautiful river where they can walk up to the Tor after supper. It really is quite special. In Year 2, on Friday, the children all slept over at school. Mats on the floor of the sports hall and a rota of sleeping teachers was a hugely special event for the children, with pizza and a game of rounders on the Abram field being a highlight.
It has been excellent to catch up with parents at Parents’ Evenings this week. There is definitely a keenness to return to in-person Parents’ Evenings, which we will be doing for the next academic year. No more online! It has been great for parents to see each other, as well as catch up with me and the Senior Leadership team, something that was really missed when held online.
And so we move on to the final week of term: the marquee is up and Speech Day is on the way! Please do make note of arrangements and timings. I look forward to seeing you then.
Enjoy the weekend with your families.
