I was going to write further on the topic of ‘contributions from home’ – following on from William’s Summer Reading list from a couple of weeks ago.
My plea to the children to get involved in topics seems to have spread like wildfire and we have seen lots of articles, artefacts and photos coming in from pupils’ own self learning at home.
This week I was going to write a longer Teaching and Learning article about the essential attitude traits of simply ‘JOINING IN’.
However, if you were to take a moment to look through this week’s Celebration Newsletter and even study the photos therein, it is so full of examples of our wonderful pupils having exciting Teaching and Learning experiences which demand that all children JOIN IN and shows the exquisite, quality of activities that the teachers plan. It is clear that the children just love to JOIN IN as well.
Pupils cannot help but love their lessons and learning.
Pupils cannot help but belong to their classes.
Pupils really do not mind not being perfect.
A culture of learning is here to stay.
It is not just about JOINING IN in school – we also JOIN IN with our community too…
