The term is now well underway and the sunshine is helping, although it is chilly at drop off and pick up! Please do remember named green or navy blue hats, scarves and gloves for the children.
Year 1 and Year 2 have been ‘explorers and adventurers’ this week and it has been wonderful to hear how excited the children are about ‘their’ explorer. I also enjoyed seeing Mrs Wallace explain ‘radical feminism’ to Tilly. We have had suffragettes to pirates, scientists to nurses. The children have learnt a huge amount. Thank you to all the team for their work.
The PTA meeting was on Thursday with a number of notices. We have decided not to hold a large Summer party now that Speech Day is a larger event for all the community. Please put Saturday 5 July 2025 in your diary for next year’s St Peter’s Charity Ball. I am pleased to confirm that cricket nets have been chosen as the large item to fundraise for this year and more information will follow. Thank you to everyone for discussing this amongst your families and voting. The second-hand uniform sales will also be PTA coffee mornings from now on so do pop those in your diary, with the next one being on Tuesday 30 January from 08:10 in the Dining Room.
Finally, we will be asking any interested parents to form a working party to discuss the PTA and Christmas and how we can improve what we do at school. Your PTA class rep will contact you with further information.
Enjoy the weekend everyone.
Best wishes,
Charlotte Johnston
