There have been some wonderful Easter shenanigans happening this week. We have lambs in the fields and the children have been making nests for eggs in the woods. The children worked in pairs and were asked to make a nest for their egg. For all those who kept the egg intact, there was a chocolate egg as a reward. Five eggs were broken in Year 5. In Nursery, none were broken!
We have wonderful news that two little chicks have hatched in Year 1. Their eggs have been closely monitored for days and days and there was more excitement and relief amongst the staff than the children to see them emerge! Year 1 also enjoyed their trip to the farm this week.
On Thursday, the Pre-prep children went down to Lympstone Church for their Easter service. The children had prepared palm leaves and joined in with some beautiful singing. Everyone listened carefully as Dr Evans shared the Easter story and I was extremely impressed with how much the children knew. It was a very special event.
There is a lot of excitement ahead for our older pupils next week, with Upper School on Stage performing at the Blackmore Theatre in Exmouth and a large group leaving for a very exciting trip to Madrid on Thursday.
The children and staff have worked incredibly hard this week and thank you for all your support as parents.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes,
Charlotte Johnston, Head.
