We held an event on Wednesday that truly encompassed our St Peter’s School Values. Years 5 to 8 all went off-site and were joined by parents and dogs(!) for a sponsored walk on Woodbury Common in aid of our whole school charity, RMA The Royal Marines Charity. Woodbury Common is where the Royal Marines train and we were lucky enough to see some of the commandos on the walk. We all walked over 6K, the rain held off and everyone was cheerful throughout. It was a time to be in nature, to catch up and to appreciate the awesome community of St Peter’s.
Nursery to Year 4 took part in a walk onsite which encompassed the Abram, Pearson AND the Hallett fields! They all did brilliantly and it was heartwarming to see the older children pair up and look after the little ones.
We raised nearly £2,000 for charity in all and donations are still coming in. This was a really great event, showcasing Achievement, Opportunity, Endeavour, Nurture, Community AND fun! Thanks and well done to all who took part.
Another recent event that showcased all of these values was our Coronation celebration held last Friday, here are some photos to share.
