We did it!!! Mrs Evans, Mrs Hughes and I jumped out of an aeroplane at 15,000 feet, free-fell for one minute and then drifted down over the beautiful Devon countryside on a crystal clear day under a parachute.
It was amazing to complete this challenge together and my grateful thanks to both Amy and Debs for such championing and bravery. I am delighted to tell you that we met our target and we raised £2,000 for charity. I am so proud of everyone and thrilled that we made it down in one piece!
Last week, I loved joining Year 3 on their residential. It was a wonderful time of scrambling up rivers, running free on Dartmoor and climbing high ropes. It was a joy to see the children’s wonderful positive attitude and the care of the amazing staff team.
There is lots going on next week but immediately ahead we have the PTA Charity Ball! We can’t wait to enjoy it all and thank you so much to the whole Ball team for all of their work.
Next week I am very excited to have been invited to meet the King at a Royal Garden Party at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh as part of my role as Vice Chair of APS, following the large conference I ran in September. I have bought my hat and Mr Johnston will be in his tailcoat!
Huge thanks to the whole staff team for getting things ready on-site for the last week of term and to the incredible teaching staff for taking the kids away on their residentials. Year 8 to France, Year 7 to Dartmoor, Year 6 to London, Year 5 to Roadford Lake and Year 3 to Dartmoor!
